Try askin him out: if you have a friendly history with him that would help.I think perhaps by: "everytime i close my eyes i see her, i can't get her out of my head, i hate her for it." he means he simply cant stop thinkin about you, but he really wants to: like he really likes you, but he doesnt want to like you. i think that this is love!!!!
from what you have said i think that he likes you but is to shy to tell you that he likes you!!!!!
what i think that you should do is talk to him tell him how you feel and hopefully (well from what you have said) he will feel the same and you can get together.
all i can say is just go in full throttle and tell him you have nothing to move!!!!!!!!!
