I HATE it when I answer a question and then because we wisely figure out that we are being punked... we lose the chance to toy with the poster....

I'd be rightfully annoyed if someone is posting questions to "punk" anyone, but I'm just as annoyed that anyone would want to "toy with the poster". Call me uptight, but don't call on me for any sympathy in regards to this. Happy New Year!

"toying with the poster" is not as negative as you think... what I like to do (and I was doing this on USENET in the late 80s and early 90s) is not teasing them. It's more about trying to get them to flesh out the story and see more and more holes in it... Treating them like we think they are serious and giving GREAT advice is part of the fun.
