Why my baby nocturnal?

, posted over a year ago

beween 6:30AM and 11:30 PM. she wakes up 3 maybe 4 times, but between 11:30 PM and 6:30 AM, EVERY SINGLE HOUR. On the dot. WHY?? Why must she be like a hampster? Is this how all babies are? When does the melatonin actually start being produced at night, when it's supposed to?

Oh which reminds me: My hampster died today. It was my favourite one so far. Please bow your head in a moment of dedication. Her name was Foofoo.. or .. fifi.. One of those I think.

I'm sorry to hear about your hamster. Moment of silence duly observed. And now, in memory of Fifoo, I present: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hse1btS7jR0

Hope this will send the baby to sleep! Good luck.

hahaha.. fifoo thank you for that. And the video.. very adorable.. how do you people find these videos? I'm sure you don't type "dancing and/or morphing hampters" into the search bar..

You're very welcome. Actually, I typed in "hamster funeral". There are some funny, some sad, and some disturbing ones in that search result. I didn't like most of them, but a related one caught my eye and that's what led me to find the morphing one. There appears to be an entire genre of morphing hamster videos!

quite interesting the ideas people come up with in their apparently abundance of free time, as such to be able to find several morphing hampster videos on youtube.

My daughter used to feed every two hrs, And she didnt sleep for 2yrs through the night hunny...But my sons were quite different...I used play my daughter soothing music like enya..I just think all babys are different. As long as she is not crying in pain then it should settle love. Try a warm toy u can get the ones that you pop in the microwave they give off soothing lavender smells and also its comforting for the little one xxxxxxxxxx

two years.. ouch.

If she wasn't sleeping, i may do that, but she sleeps a lot! She'll sleep about 6 hours in a row but only during the day. just wish she would reverse her cycle!

Sorry, but you will probably have more luck changing your sleep cycle.
