writes: my partner broke up with with me 3 months ago due to not being able to handle his life-- it seems as though he wanted a simple life and getting rid of me would eliminate one stress. I acted desperate- crawled back a million times and got rejected left right and centre. He didn't want me. Now I'm getting on with my life he wants to take it really slowly, I said he'll have to make effort. our sex life is fantastic and he's always affectionate but he never lies in with me in the morning. this weekend I stayed round for the first time in 8 weeks. He was up by 8am- I tried to innitiate sex but he didn't want it(we'd already had it multiple times over the weekend) I just wanted a cuddle, he gave me one for five minutes then got up. another thing that bothered me - his niece is getting married the middle of next year (I get on with all his family) we were taking about weddings and he said 'I'm going to a wedding next year. I said yeah I know, won't I be invited? he replied 'I don't know, love'. is he not serious about us?

It sounds like you love him far, far more than he loves you. Granted the sex is good, and that's fine, but from what you wrote, all the signs are there that, hard as it might be to hear, he just doesn't really care for you that much. If it's any consolation, he probably has a hard time loving anyone (so ultimately, it's not really you).
Advice - let him go for real, take a breather, start doing nice things for yourself (love yourself). The right guy (who really cares for you) will come along. Don't settle.
