How can I experience sex for the first time without thinking about the pain???

A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I've been dating my boyfriend for almost a year and a half and we're both really wanting to have sex but I'm always so scared to. I'll decide that I really want to try and then when it comes down to it I get so scared about the pain that I'm getting ready to experience and I back out. How should I fix this problem so we can both enjoy this experience like we want to?

What you have to tell your self is that if the "pain" was unbearable then why do so many people do it.

Sex is fun! My first time wasn't painful but it was a little uncomfy.

I agree with the other answer. Tell your boyfriend to take it easy. My first time didn't hurt, either. I think you're psyching yourself out, because honestly, it won't be that bad. Also, make sure you are in positions that won't cause any pain. Doggy-style, for example, would not be a good choice. That one even still hurts me. Missionary position is probably the best position for him to ease into you with very little or no pain. So, don't let this freak you out! It won't be nearly as bad as you seem to think. Best of luck to you hun!
