Will we ever be more than just friends?

Question - (21 June 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 29 June 2009)
A female United States age 26-29, anonymous writes:

So, I am a girl and so is this person I am completely inlove with. I am bi and she says she is straight. I've known her for 2 and a half years but have actually been talking to her for 4 months or so. I told her "I kinda like love you" but that was a bad idea because I didn't say it the way I wanted to. She said "I'm glad you told me" and she also said she feels bad because she isn't gay.

When I was just getting to know her I would always flirt with her. Whenever I was around she always was smiling and laughing. She didn't mind me poking her either. Also I would sometimes play with her hair and she never told me to stop, except for once when I pulled her hair, but still she didn't mind. We once had a conversation about if I had died she would kill herself because she couldn't bear losing me. I'm not sure if that means anything good..does it?

Well, anyway I haven't talked to her in about 3 weeks and I'm kind of upset about that. She told me she would find a way to sneak out and hang out with me because her dad hates me. That hasn't happened yet and I don't think it will. I just don't know. I am really confused, so please help me out. Will we ever be more than just friends?

(Need any other details, just ask)

A female reader, jodaii United Kingdom +, writes (29 June 2009):

If shes straight then probably not. Im in love with my best friend and shes confused about her sexuality, and thats been hard on me, especially when shes rejected me but i live by the rule now that if shes straight or says shes straight its a no! even if you think she is gay, but she sys she is straight, n matter what your better judgesment says, shes straight, trust me its easyer that way! im 15, and i know what im on about! if shes realy straight, then just live with the fact you are jst freinds, and admit to yourelf thaat you have a really amazing best friend, and dont pursue anything, you nver know, your dreams might come true, just give it time. Im still hping mine will come true.

best of luck, kat x
