hey, im 5.6" 38 years old,male,

let me tell you, i've been with more girls, then anybody that i know, i never had a problem with my height,

once i was dating a 6,1" lady, model looking, gorgeous.

she told me that men my height dont even talk to her,

so feel good with your height, 5.9" what are you kidding me?

if you are a good person, and know how to talk,

it can not get better then that.

A female reader, deejuliet United States +, writes (24 July 2008):

deejuliet agony auntYou may continue to grow for a few more years yet, but sorry, there is nothing you can do about it happening or not. It is up to your genetics, not up to you execising or not. Growth can be stunted if proper nutrition is not maintined in an extreme way, but there is nothing you can do to make yourself grow taller.

Note to curiousbynature: this is a GUY!! Yes, 5'9" is tall for a WOMAN and she can put on heels to appear taller. But are you really suggesting that a MAN put on heels?

scrazy agony auntSome people keep growing up until they're 21, so yes, you may get a bit taller - but why would you want to? You're above average and you would certainly tower over me!

Ask your Dad when he stopped growing to get an idea if you're going to get any taller. Sorry but there's nothing you can do to make yourself taller!

You're 5'9". Are you nuts? Thats above average. Get yourself a good pair of heels and you'll be 6 foot. I am 6 foot and let me tell you, when I was yonger I slumped and I could never find any boyfriends taller than me. Yes, being tall is beautiful, but dont obsess about it. Plus, when you are this damn tall, you cannot find jeans to fit you at all. They are never long enough and it is just frusterating. Let it go and enjoy your height, its the perfect height.

Hi

your height is fine! my partner is smaller than you and what a dude he is. Tall, small, fat, thin, does not matter, what matters is that you start t love you and everything you are. This is not what you really want to hear but other than putting you on a stretch board you will not probably grow much mre, although some young boys suddenly have a growth spurt my kid brother did at eighteen. It can be draughty upthere in the clouds as i have learned over the years. Stop wanting to change who you are, Walk with good posture and walk proud. (Walk tall) is how you walk this life enjoying who you are, small, or tall, just do it with a smile. height will bring you nothing more in life, no extra girlfreinds, no extra money or fame.

A male reader, Brae123 Australia +, writes (24 July 2008):

hi, I am a 15 year old. I am a cox which is a person that steers a rowing boat and tells the towers what to do. I am 4"11 and I wiegh 37 kilograms (81.4 lbs) I could not care less if I was taller. I love being short, becuase I can be a cox. Maybe you just havn't hit the full affects of puberty. I went to some kind of doctor an they said I was just meat to be short they said that I would only be 5"2 at my tallest. And 5"9 is like a perfect night anyway to you don't need to be taller so be happy and for the love of god stop wishing you where taller cos it ain't gonna happen.

A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (24 July 2008):

You best bet is to ask your dad. Did he get any taller after your age?

I think 5'9'' is about the perfect height though as you are taller than most girls but not too much taller so you look picture perfect when stood together.

Good Luck!! xx
