 okay i ahve ginger red hair too....it doesnt put guys off. it maybe because u are reaching puberty and things are changing for both you and boys aroun you... and maybe give the ugly guys a chance its not all about image let there personality shine through. and remember gingers are beautiful!
and when you talk about what guys look for... well from experience they want a funny smiley girl who knows how to have a good time without taking it to the extreme

Wear it long or short! And what is this about ugly guys??? It is the personality you want not their looks. Some of the most beautiful guys have shit personalities. So look beyond the looks and you wont go wrong. At your age, which is very young, you are just developing and one day i am sure you will be a beautiful young lady - WITH LOVELY RED HAIR!!! BE PROUD AND WALK TALL!

 You are not alone with the ugly guy thing jodie. TRUST ME. It's happened to me plenty of times. Hair color does not put a guy off. Have you not seen people that walk around with purple hair that have boyfriends? Hair has nothing to do with your problem. You're like 10-12 age-wise so I wouldn't really worry... Maybe the guys who are attractive to you are put off by the fact that unattractive ones are asking you out and don't think they have a chance or something.
Boys look for a bit of both in a girl. Some care about a pretty face, amazing personality, and a decent body. A good guy would accept you just how you are so don't cake on the makeup if you wear any. And don't worry about looks that much, if a guy truly likes you, he won't care and will find you beautiful just the way you are. Good Luck.
