 It could be a case that he likes you. It can be hard to tell from your post alone. But you say you pushed him away at the start therefore that is probably the reason he keeps his distance from you now. Why not flirt with him a little and see how he responds. However do you really want to get involved with someone who has eyes for every other girl in the gym as well. Also if he is a trainer he might not want to get involved with someone who is a client in his work place, this could also be a reason why he keeps his distance from you. All you can do is try though so flirt with him, smile at him and show him you are interested.
