Why has my ex got back in touch? Is it for revenge?

A female United Kingdom age 41-50, *igerlilygrrrr writes:

I am 25 years old and in a happy relationship. Recently my first love has got in touch via friends and we have begun chatting....nothing unusual in that and I definitely don't have any feelings for him, and I have let my current boyfriend know so he doesn't feel left out.

My problem is this: me and my ex left things on very very bad terms. I dumped him when I went to uni, he was hurt and told mutual friends he hated me, I'm a bitch etc etc. I know I handled things badly and since we've been back in touch I've apologised. The thing that worries me is this: Why is he so keen to get back in touch? Is it for revenge?

would love some advice!

steve107 agony auntthe best thing you can do is to tell him stright that you dont want any contact. avoid the guy. he may still have strong feelings for you or like you said he may want some kind of revenge. bottom line is your happy in a good relashionship just now and you dont need the other guy in your life chances are that it might cause friction
