I'm a freshman in high school and boys have never wanted to be more than friends with me. I'm sometimes girly, sometimes scene (at least that's what people tell me), sometimes a tomboy, sometimes a nerd, and sometimes artsy.

Girly-Sometimes I will buy my clothes from places like Rue21, Victoria Sectret, or Wet Seal.

Scene-I love Hot Topic, Spencers, bluebanana.com, and chaoticclothing.com. My favorite bands are BVB, ETF, BOTDF, Slipknot, BMTH, Evanescene, and so on.

Tomboy-I learned how to throw and catch a football when I was six. I play soccer, volleyball, and basketball. Sometimes I'll play football, hockey, and baseball with my guy friends (and I'm good at all three sports). I don't mind peverted jokes, I'll either laugh at them or tell a joke that's 10 times more peverted. I also skateboard.

Nerd-I'm take all AP classes, I do wear glasses, and I have B average.

Artsy-I play the drums and the piano. I dance (hip hop and jazz mostly). I also sing, write, and paint. And I listen to all types of music, especially old school. I know it's not my looks because people always tell my that I'm really pretty or cute. I feel like there's something wrong with me because all my friends had their first kiss or boyfriend by the time we were in sixth grade.

VSAddict agony auntDon't feel bad for not having a boyfriend right now. You're a fun, outgoing person and someone will realize that soon. Have patience and you'll be with someone when you least expect it.

A reader, anonymous, writes (5 August 2011):

firstly... there is no set age for having your first kiss. Mine was when I was almost 17 (that was also when i had my first boyfriend!)

People clearly find you attractive, but maybe they're not sure how to approach you because you have the ability to be so many different people? I mean - most people fit into one genre, maybe two at a push. It's great that you can associate with so many different styles.

But why not try and find your own style? You're at the age when you're trying to figure out just who you are, and that's absolutely normal. Wear what you're comfortable wearing, and in time, your own style will develop, and more than likely become more refined than it is now!

You shouldn't be worrying about this just yet - there's plenty of time for that! just enjoy your time being who you are, and the rest will follow!
