 I think most people (myself included) kiss with their eyes closed because it is scary to be that close to someone ... closing your eyes lets you keep something to yourself. I am uncomfortable when I catch a stranger looking at me and he does not turn away; I always turn away. It's just too intense for me, I guess.I think it would be exciting and intimidating to be with someone so in to me, that he kept his eyes open while kissing me.I don't think you should be offended at all. I don't think it means he does not care. I think it's the opposite ... he sounds like a man that is ready to share himself.Enjoy the ride.

 lol firstly i want to say congrats you 2 sound quite happy together . now the issue at hand i had the same problem 2 with girl friend i asked her why she did it and she told me that it was because she liked me that much that she couldnt take her eyes off me i know that it sounds corny but i believed her and were still going stong . i hope this helps
