writes:hi,sorry if this is a dumb question. but im a 14 yr old girl and my boobs have been hurting for the past few days.i asked my mom why pretending it was for a friend and she told me that can happen when your on your period or its about to come.and for me its neither.is something wrong with me?

reader, anonymous, writes (4 July 2010): This is verified as being by the original poster of the questionwell actually,i had my period 2 weeks ago then the 3rd week it came again which was way too soon.that was last week and it was supposed to come this week and be finishing up by now but it didnt come.i know im not pregnant because im not sexually active.so maybe its just growing pains thanks for your answer

 Lots of reasons.
Your bra may not be fitting you right.
Your due on,
They are still growing.
Your having hormonal changes.
Either way, these are just a few of the reasons, it wouldn't hurt to go see your doctor for peace of mind

 Are you sure you are not about to have your period?
In either case, you are 14. Boobs grow when you are a teenager, and that is most likely why they hurt. They are still growing.

 I had a similar problem with my breast and I went to get measured and realise my breast grew and my bra got to tight thats why my breast where hurting.
Another reasons could be:
If you sleep on your stomach, which cause you to put pressure on your breast
or
Pregnacy
Go see a doctor
