 This would depend on the seriousness of the realtionship because it is tough on the kids to see people come and go. There is a point where it has been too long but try to be patient for it will show them that you love them and are ready to be part of their children's lives. I'd say somewhere in between six months to a year would be a good time but again it all depends on the feeling and what kind of role model they see you as to their children.
