When is the right time to kiss a girl I'm going to take to the Prom? I really like her. But not sure of what is right

Question - (3 April 2015) 1 Answers - (Newest, 4 April 2015)
A male United States age 22-25, anonymous writes:

Im a high school freshman and going with another freshman the girl I dreamed of going with to prom.

I really like her and I think her feelings may be just as big for me. Weve never kissed, and I'm thinking I want to first kiss her on prom night. It would be both of our first kisses.

Is it ok to kiss on prom night?

Is it ok to kiss her on the lips?

Should it be done while dancing at the prom or by her door ?

A female reader, janniepeg Canada +, writes (4 April 2015):

janniepeg agony auntA peck on the cheek is acceptable but kissing on the lips is a romantic gesture and usually it would lead to the two dating. You can have mutual feelings towards each other but that doesn't mean she is ready for dating. Although a surprise kiss would feel nice at least you should talk to her about what happens after the prom and what her plans are. If everything thing goes well and you can come up with an agreement as to where you stand then it would be very romantic to kiss on the lips while slow dancing.
