Masturbation is normal and healthy and something everyone does; we even do it innocently when we are small children. Our bodies are ours to explore, in any way we choose to. Some people (particularly those of strong religious belief or extremely reserved upbringing) will tell you it is dirty and wrong and sinful, though it is simply a healthy way of discovering more about your body and making yourself feel good. It is a very common form of sexual expression and also a way to prepare you for having sexual contact when you're older. Your family life may have made you feel this way; maybe from living in a religious household, or a home where sexual matters are never mentioned. Some people simply feel it's wrong because it's such a private thing, that it must be bad or 'naughty' because no-one else should know about it. I assure you, there is nothing bad or disgraceful about masturbating; especially at your young, typicaly curious age where your body is coming into it's own. Relax, enjoy yourself and just remember that millions of other people enjoy what you're doing as well.
