What's my pregnancy risk from "dry sex"?

A female United Kingdom age 30-35, *oppins writes:

Hi...

I'm with the most amazing person- we have been together for over 2 years now,but we have never had sex (I want to be a virgin until my marriage).

However what we do is usually called 'dry sex' - we touch each other and let our 'bits' touch without penetration.

What bugs me is that I have done a lot of research and I found that a man's penis can contain traces of sperm when it's aroused.

A week ago we got close twice- on the first occasion he 'finished' and then we got 'close' again in about an hour.(letting our 'bits' touch)

My vagina is deeply covered by inner lips-it took me a while to actually find it-so if anything, he's penis was touching my clit and my inner lips at most

what is the risk of pregnancy in this case?

I have noticed a few things-

I started going to the loo more often

I feel tired most of the time(ive been sleeping until 5pm and going to sleep at 5am most of the days lately)

my boobs are a bit bigger

and

I have no appetite...

are these signs of pregnancy??

I am really scared over this!

Yes,I am over 18,but I'm not ready for a baby!

and- when can I take a pregnancy test? I mean when it's the best time to?

----

he did not ejaculate the second time, and I didn't feel any 'wetness' on his penis.

Am I pregnant? Please, don't be mean,I already hate myself for doing this and for not being safe....

deejuliet agony auntI am glad to hear you have already listened to the other aunts advice and calmed down. I will just add one more aunt saying to you that your risk of pregnancy is slim to none. Unless he ejaculated directly on your vaginal opening the chances are pretty much nil. As for your 'symptoms': once someone gets the idea that they might be pregnant every little possible symptom gets magnified in their head as evidence of pregnancy. I have even done this myself, so dont feel bad! The things you have described could be pms, normal hormone fluctuations, depression, the flu or even just all in your head because of worry. For your own peace of mind you can take a home pregnancy test the day your period is due, if it doesnt come. And in the future you could use some form of birth control, like have him wear a condom or use some foam in yourself just to be on the safe side. I commend your determination to wait until marriage. Good luck!

Thank you so much..I've re-read your answers tons of times just to calm down!

Well I am pretty depressed, I'm on anti depressants for quiet some time now,so hopefully this is not pregnancy.

Thank you for being so kind!

A female reader, anonymous, writes (21 March 2009):

Don't hate yourself. You are very strong for staying a virgin until you are married, most of us don't have such self control! It could just be PMS or maybe your feeling a little depressed? Loss of appetite, insomnia, physical complaints are signs of depression. Why not go to your doctor and get it checked out.

You can get pregnant, but the risk is very slight. Take a pregnancy test now.

I recommend that even though you don't intend to have intercourse at this time that you should consider going on birth control. Just to put your mind at ease.

masquerade711 agony auntWhile the symptoms you're describing are quite common throughout a pregnancy, some of them are also signs of PMS. From the circumstance you described, your pregnancy risk is extremely low. If there was no penetration, it is next to impossible to fall pregnant. Don't get me wrong, it CAN happen, but it is not likely.
