I'd bet that he's confused as well. The problem here is that rather than one of you just coming out and saying what you're feeling, you're both relying on all these hints and such. He may be as confused as you are. So, the time has come for you to step up and talk to him. Tell him you like him, see what he says. Just don't waste any more time on all these hints. Neither of you are getting anywhere here.
