It somewhat depends on the effect you want to evoke, and what you are wearing.
Pink means you feel ultra-feminine and girly, maybe even a little shy.
Red means your are confident and sexy, probably capable of just about anything...
Blue means you are adventurous and are not easily influenced.
Black...well, let's just say it looks good if you are really dressed up, but otherwise, leave black for the guys (yeah, guys do wear nail polish too!).
Purple means you are mysterious and expressive...keeps 'em guessing!
Gold, silver, orange, yellow are all kinda 'out there', but can be fun if done right and you are wearing something bright that go with it.
Bottom line, have fun with it, but make sure you start with nicely manicured (or pedicured) nails, or the polish will only look cheap.

 Red is such a foxy color, and YOU'LL be feeling confident if you're wearing something you love. Red is great, but I also encourage you to wear your favorite color, whatever YOU feel hottest in. Trust me, that confidence will rub right off on you.
If you go for red, I'd go for a deep crimson. It's sultry, sexy... rowr!
