RAINORFIRE agony auntmaybe it was a fetus its pretty weird you should have taken a picture. Im curious why you think it was a fetus. strange things happen in this world scientist still cant figure out how the pyramids where built and what they are for,but the Bible mentions both pyramids and immaculate conception

Well if it was a blood-colored jelly-like substance it could have been a blood clot. Those can be fairly large and I've known several girls that that has happened to. Obviously if you were a virgin, it couldn't have been a fetus. I'm gonna go with blood clot, but old-spinstah had some pretty good ideas too. As long as you're fine now, I guess there's no use in worrying about it.

Well it obviously wasn't a foetus if you were a virgin at the time. If this happened a few years ago, it's never happened again and you have no heath problems you should just try your best to forget about it and put it down to one of life's mysteries.

If it really worries you, you'll have to ask your G.P what he thinks it might have been. Or possibly the practice nurse when you next go for your smear.

There's not really enough information for anyone to make a judgement, even if this site was geared up for health questions (which it isn't) For example, how big is "kinda big"? As big as a 5p piece? As big as £2 coin? As big as a pack of cigarettes? What colour was it? Why did you think it might be a foetus?

It could have been a blood clot (which doesn't always have to be during your period). It could have been discharge as a result of thrush or (less likely bacterial vaginosis) which can come out as a thick white soft lumpy mass sometimes. It could also have been natural vaginal discharge which becomes much thicker (an can almost become jelly-like) at the time of ovulation.

If you fell asleep wearing the same knickers that you wore out the day before, it's possible something got in there at the beach or something.(Seaweed springs to mind!) A friend of mine on a camping trip together found a tiny squashed lizard in her sleeping bag one morning. Stranger things have happened.....

On a slightly more gross note. The vagina is not the only bodily orifice that is encased by underpants. If you were visiting a country which does not have the cleanest water you may well have picked up a mild stomach upset which caused you to pass mucus from the back passage.

But don't worry about it. It's in the past and you're fine

you say you were on holiday so can it be that your friends wanted to pull a practical joke on you and put that thing whatever it was in your panties?
