Boys often do stupid things. If you know deep down that he isn't a jerk then let it drop this time, but if this happens again don't stand for it! If this was one of your girl friends you wouldn't stay friends with them if they were deliberately horrible to you. If you are close enough you should explain that that behaviour hurt you and ask him why he said it.

yes we r just friends but hes very flirty and well always says suggestive things that makes me think he does like me more than a friend.
i was slightly suprised and a little hurt at that response i got! what should i do now?

Unless he was joking, I think he is making a point of telling you that you don't mean much to him. Even if he was joking, he may be slightly subconsciously thinking it. What context are we talking here? Are you just friends? Where were you when it happened etc? Is he a jokey kind of guy?x
