What is a loser?

Question - (27 November 2010) 1 Answers - (Newest, 27 November 2010)
A male Australia age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I just got thinking about what people call their exes. Guys call their exes bitch, crazy bitch, or ugly. To me that means, 'she rejected me harshly', 'she's needy/clingy (doesn't feel good enough)', and 'not that good looking', respectively. Those names make sense, so I guess when a woman calls an ex a 'loser' or a 'jerk', that makes sense to her.

What does 'loser' mean, when a woman refers to her ex as a 'loser'?

Is a guy being a 'loser' a relative thing, such as being the literal loser in a competition between him and another guy, eg. he's college graduate (winner), he dropped out of high school (loser)?

Or is it a mental thing where a guy feels he isn't good enough for the woman he likes?

Or is it something else?

tennisstar88 agony auntLoser- As in dropping out of school, not having a source of income, lives at home with his parents, lazy unmotivated, owes people money that he hasn't paid back, no goals in life, being a deadbeat father etc..

That's my definition of a loser.
