A male age 51-59, anonymous writes:

I wonder if anybody cares about this issue , but I think about it all the time.

I'm not religious, but I feel sort of not really strong in any theoeies about after life.

I wish if there would be nothing after we die, but I just have this strange feeling., that is not case . Like not heaven or hell, but something , we never even thought about will happen.

What do you think, will happen after we die? Is this the end, or something else?

I guess, there are many different options, but nothing is sure. I'm just amazed how sure some people are, and never have any second thoughts, like they are sure, nothing is happening, others that we reincarnate , and others , that we go to hell if we were bad, . And yet , it's all the big unknown .... The big surprise..

A female reader, So_Very_Confused United States +, writes (20 July 2015):

So_Very_Confused agony auntThe best explanation i have seen recently is this:

two babies (twins) are having a conversation in the womb...

baby one says "do you think there is life after birth?"

baby two says "no way this is it once we are born there is nothing."

baby one says "but what if there is a whole different type of life after birth that we just don't know about yet"

and baby two says "nope this is it.. once we are born it's over and done"

how do we NOT know what's after death until we get there?

dougbcoll agony aunt what happens after we die?

The Bible is the road map to Heaven. their is only two choices heaven and hell. it does not matter if you have been good all your life, followed the golden rule ect..

It comes down to what you have done with the son of God in your life. If YOU HAVE ACCEPTED HIM , or rejected him as your savior. the Bible , in the book of john 3:16 is a good place to start and the book of roman's 10:9.

their is a place of separation for those that reject Jesus Christ as their savior. it is called HELL.

that is the two choices, heaven or hell. the Bible is clear, and offers a way to escape separation and punishment.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (20 July 2015):

Personally I consider myself agnostic. Many

People confuse that with atheism but an agnostic basically says they are not sure

In other words I 'think' and 'feel' there is more than just this life however I don't assume to ever think I'm clever ebough or in a position to know

Exactly what that is

Is there an afterlife ?

Who knows ?

Personally I feel yes but I don't like the idea that anyone thinks

That they can possibly know for sure because they cannot

Honeypie agony auntI'm not a Christian either. Never was. I will not FAKE a belief "just in case"... If my lack of faith in a Christian/Muslim etc. god means I'm damned, then so be it.

I had this discussion with my 12 year old the other day. She likes the idea of reincarnation, of having a soul that is eternal. I think it's beautiful - but personally I don't believe that. I believe once dead, it's lights out.

I believe once we are dead, that is it. We go back to the Earth. I don't find that scary or intimidating. I find it an INSPIRATION to live my life best as I can, create as many positive moments with my kids (and hubby), because I could be gone tomorrow.

I DO believe we "live" on in the people we know and love. If nothing else in their memory.

I think you can believe whatever GIVES you comfort or makes you think.

A female reader, Tisha-1 United States +, writes (20 July 2015):

Tisha-1 agony auntMy personal theory on this is that there isn't really any way a living person can know, so the best thing to do is live a good life. We'll all find out later what happens.

Are you struggling with this in some way that needs extra help?

A male reader, Garbo United States +, writes (19 July 2015):

Garbo agony auntMathematician Blaise Pascal examined your question from exactly the same point, that there is a possibility of afterlife. He quantified it that irrespective of how little of a chance that God exists who provides eternal life, a person who does not believe would loose out even though his odds in this life are trillions to one. In other words, as long as you doubt that there is nothing after you die then it is prudent for you to believe in God because you want to hedge your risk against being eternally damned. His point is that belief in God is what any prudent human should do in order to avoid the possibility of the eternal damnation because one cannot ensure against an unknown, which is after your death and something no atheists knows anything about.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (19 July 2015):

I think the life we live now is a test, a passing phase. How we behave in this life will determine the next.

It is all too easy for people to say there is no afterlife - as we have not witnessed it - but it is just as easy to say there is an afterlife too - because we also have not witnessed it yet. Certain people say they witnessed spirits and apparitions, and whether they have or whether they haven't - who are we to say otherwise?

Everything on the planet was created for a reason.

We live in 3 dimensions but who knows if there could be a 4th or 5th dimension out there that isn't visible to the human eye.

The wind cannot be seen - but it's prescence can be felt, so it is there.

Whether you believe in God and an afterlife or not - there is both Good out there (which comes from the word God) and Evil (which comes from the word Devil).

This life has a mixture of both - but hopefully in the next life only Good will win through! x
