What exercises can I do to lose the fat?

hello.

well i am 15 and weigh 11 stone 3 pounds at the moment. i feel so fat as i used to be 10 stone 5 pounds so i have put on weight in the last couple of months. i feel horrible.

is there any ways to lose fat, (without mentioning diet - as i eat very healthily and don't pig out on crisps exc) like any exercises that i can do in my room for example sit ups. I know aerobics is good but i dont know what that includes. can you help me with some simple and effective exercises that will help me loose fat off my stomach and sides? pleeeease i feel discusting right now.

visione agony auntOk first of all, you should go into this thinking "I want to become healthier and more active" not "I want to lose fat"... the latter sounds and feels a lot better because you are doing it to make yourself well!

You should just go outside and take walks (push yourself though, don't just stroll) because you need to build up cardio/endurance first. To be active you have to be... well, active. That involves moving a lot, which you can't really do just in your room, unless you have a lot of exercising equipment. Do you have a treadmill or stationary bike or even a jump rope? Those provide an easy way to exercise. Sit ups and such are more along the lines of strength training, it builds muscle, not really get rid of fat.

Check out step aerobics, it's pretty fun and doesn't take up much space.

the key is increasing your everyday activity levels, get off the bus 2 stops earlier and walk the rest of the way, walk up the escalators intesad of standing and watch less tv.avoid sitting around always try and be busy - i lost half stone by this

you can try joining an exercise club like aerobics/boxercise although thats hard when u feel fat

i dont think there is much point in doing special abs crunches as ulitmately you need to lose the fat before the muscle definition can show

the other thing is giving up fizzy drinks or swapping to diet. people dont realise how much sugar/calories is in fizzy drinks. also cut down portion size we all pile out plates up more than we need to

thing is you are so young now if you change your lifestyle habits you can change your life otherwise you will always be known as the overweight girl and thats awful

its really tough but also is tough to be the biggest of all of your friends. you can definitely lose weight just keep trying.its easy to give up, as weight loss takes time but keep with it. you can do it!
