A male United States age , anonymous writes:

Young lady's I sent a poem to an ex, I wrote, just like to know if you think, she would of like it, an she ever has regretted breaking up with me, its been almost two years no contact, this is the only time I did this, she left me to go back to her ex who beat her, I treated her like an angel for three months, he was in jail, the minute he got out she was gone, she still wanted to use me for sex, I just couldn't do it, so let me know what you girls think of my poem. Thanks girls still broken hearted.

As the days have gone by

The months have past

Now almost two years

The pain has been fading

But in my heart

You will always be wanted

For when you said

You were waiting for

The other shoe to fall

The only thing that would of fallen

Would of been my heart

More every day

If only I could of look into your

Beautiful eyes

With my heart trying to

Kiss your heart

With my love

Me

So_Very_Confused agony auntSince you allege you already sent it "Young lady's I sent a poem to an ex,"

there is not much we can say or do.

I suggest you find a good therapist and show him/her the poem and tell them that you sent it after 2 years of no contact and ask them what they think.

It's been two years...she is not coming back no matter what... and sending her the poem just gives her reason to get a restraining order.

Since it's been two years and you are not moving forward even with NO CONTACT. I really strongly urge you to seek counseling.

Anonymous 123 agony auntLovely sentiments but do NOT make the mistake of sending it. It'll only make you look needy, pathetic and desperate

Honeypie agony aunt2 years of no contact and then you want to catch up by sending her a POEM?

No, just no. Do NOT send it.

And no, she won't regret dumping you for an abusive ex because you send her a poem. It will come off a weird and creepy and IF she is still with that guy, who knows what he might do if he finds out. IS that what you want?

She used you. And now she is letting the EX use her.

You need to SET yourself free. She wasn't the GREAT lady you WANT her to be. She never will be.

A reader, anonymous, writes (1 June 2014):

After two long years it's time to move on,

darkness fell where love once shone.

With each passing day you miss her more,

cast adrift and far from shore.

Now it's time to break the spell,

pick yourself up from where you fell.

You cannot be her shining Knight,

the man who saves her from her plight,

She wanted you for just one thing,

find someone else to make you sing.

You have written her heartfelt words indeed,

Let that be the final deed.

Save the poem in a sacred place,

In the future it will bring a smile to your face.
