My friends and I look for strong, independant women who are also feminine. Intelligent, but not overtly serious... need to be able to hold a good conversation.
Basically, strength and suppleness at the same time... just like most women want a man who's both strong and sensitive.

 Some men would like for their women to be like their own mother, some could think of nothing worse!
Some men like needy women or like them to be at home keeping the house and cooking, and others strong independent women who work hard and contribute financially to the relationship.
Some men like trophy wives someone to be seen with, good looking and confidant, others are happy with someone who makes them laugh and are much like themselves......
The lists are endless, but most men try all sorts of women until they find their "ideal".
I suppose us women have to hope the man we are dating has found in us what they are looking for, they probably won't stay around for long if they haven't!
Men of course have exactly the same problem in us women finding the ideal man, that's what makes dating such fun and at times such a nightmare!

 It really depends on how the man was raised. My husband likes the working woman, because that is how him mom was (he sees getting frustrated more of a sign that you care for him), but then again I have a male friend whose mother was a stay at home mom, and that is what he wants for his future wife, he even broke it off with his girlfriend because she said she didn’t want to just say at home all day.
And I think this should go without saying: EVERY MAN would like for their woman to be a good cook!
