Hey man i know EXACTLY what your going through. I'm 16 and im like 5 foot 5 inches so in reality i have it worse than you lol. But trust me dont worry about it you have plenty of time to grow and take Cupidguys advice and have confidence in yourself and whatever you do don't slouch around. Stand up straight and keep your head up high. Eat your Veggies, drink your milk, and stay away from the bad stuff. Lots of luck (:

I think that the average person stops growing at about 18 (the brain continues to develop until about 30, however). Of course, girls develop somewhat sooner than guys. That doesn't mean that everyone is the same, however. One of my professors told me that he was 24 when he finally stopped growing. A lot depends on your genes, however. There are things that can hinder your growth which you should avoid, such as sodas, coffee, alcohol, drugs and junk food... oh, and get plenty of sleep. I know it's hard when you're busy with school but your health comes first. I don't think there's anything wrong with you but if it worries you then you ought to see your doctor or an endocrinologist.

I think the answer from Tisha-1 is very useful. If this helps - my eldest brother was nicknamed "Titch" (shorty) at school- then he had some kind of growth spurt when he was 19 and is now 5.11. Also - not sure if this has been mentioned but you shouldn't do certain exercises weight training until your bones have stopped growing as some may reduce your optimum height potential.

There isn't anything you can do to make yourself grow you will just grow in time, nobody is exactly how they would like to be but if you stand tall and don't let anybody get in your way then you'll be fine. Trust whats natural, don't try any remidies that say they'll help you grow,, because at the end of the day you are who you are...

How tall are your parents? That is usually a pretty good indication of how tall you will be when you are done growing, but not always. My little brother is actually taller than my dad.

I visited webmd.com to get some advice for you.http://www.webmd.com/diet/guide/feeding-your-teenager
Obviously, you need to feed your bones to allow them to reach their full growth. Read the part about calcium and vitamin D.
I think, though, that your height is pretty well genetically determined. You should still be growing now until you're 18 or even a little later. So stick to a really healthy diet so your bones have every chance to reach their full potential. No soft drinks. Loads of milk and other sources of calcium.
Also from webmd.com: "Keep bones strong
"Eat a nutritious diet with enough calcium and vitamin D, which helps your body absorb calcium. Calcium is found in dairy products, such as milk, cheese, and yogurt; dark green, leafy vegetables, such as broccoli; and other foods.
"Exercise and stay active. It is best to do weight-bearing exercise, such as walking, jogging, stair climbing, dancing, or lifting weights, for 45 to 60 minutes 4 days a week. Weight-bearing exercises help new bone growth by working the muscles and bones against gravity. Exercises that are not weight-bearing, such as swimming, are good for your general health, but do not help new bone growth. Talk to your health professional about an exercise program that is right for you. Begin slowly, especially if you have not been active. For more information, see the topic Fitness.
"Do not drink more than 1 alcoholic drink per day. People who drink more than this may have a higher chance for developing osteoporosis. Alcohol use also increases your chance of falling and breaking a bone.
"Stop or do not begin smoking. Smoking also increases your chance for developing osteoporosis. It also interferes with blood supply and healing. For more information, see the topic Quitting Tobacco Use.
"Cut down on caffeine. Caffeine in coffee and soda pop may increase calcium loss from your body and increases your chance for developing osteoporosis."
One final thought for you. You're actually already at a decent height. Remember that many of the men considered truly desirable are quite short, under the height you've already reached. So don't put too much emphasis on your height, keep it where it should be, on you as a whole person, a well-rounded, well-educated, focused, compassionate yet masculine guy.
Hope this helps.

You're not done growing yet. I think boys grow till they're 18-20.
Some say that exercise will make you taller, I doubt it. I think you just appear taller because you're getting less fat and the muscles are building.
