Were these the actions of a platonic friend, or does she like me?

Question - (20 February 2012) 3 Answers - (Newest, 22 February 2012)
A male United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I am 18 and have a crush on a girl a year younger than me at work. We are both part timers at a restaurant, and our boss owns the bar next door. There was a party in the bar one night and being a dishwasher in the restaurant, I was not needed, but stayed to have some drinks out of uniform. My crush worked on the bar with some of the others, pouring me loads of half pints. Being a bit of a lightweight [and having a cold anyway], I fell really ill and had to go home after a couple of hours. Funny thing was, I was sitting outside gathering some fresh air just before leaving, and my crush came up behind and stroked my hair. We held hands for a moment before someone came out and offered to drive me back.

Was this just her taking care of me or would a 'platonic' friend not do this? In other words, did it mean anything?

Thanks :D

aunt honesty agony auntTotally understand, it does sound like she might like you hear, I honestly think you should make your move and ask her would she like to go for a drink some time.

This is verified as being by the original poster of the question

A few things. She is not usually flirty with boys and has not had boyfriends recently. We have been seeing each other at work twice a week for about five months, and once went on a night out [and to be blunt, got friendly, kissing], but this may have been alcohol.

I was really woozy from drink and realized she was stroking my hair, and grabbed her hand probably because the drink had made me a little confident. After about five or ten seconds someone came out so we let go. She texted to see if I was ok and I replied the next day [was asleep]. Yep I'm analysing but just filling everyone in :)

aunt honesty agony auntIt's a tough one to call, because she might just be the caring person and wanted to make sure you where okay. I guess you are never really going to know, so why not just ask her out some time, its the only way you will find out, good luck!
