Question - (6 December 2008) 1 Answers - (Newest, 7 December 2008)
A female United Kingdom age 30-35, *issUnique writes:

Hey. So here's the problem, I have the greatest friend in the world, just call him J. Well me and him have had so many great times together and I love him more than anyone in the world, seriously. Well all was alright but then one morning I woke up beside him after a night drinking. He told me he was really drunk too and we put it past us. This was three months ago. But then the other day J told me he wasn't drunk and when I kissed him he just went further. He says he's so sorry but it's because he's liked me for such a long time and he knew he'd never have another chance with me because I just want to be friends. Now this is where the big problem comes in. I think I'm stupid for thinking this but did he take advantage of me? I want to ask him if he did but I'm scared it'll tear up our relationship. Also every time I see him I feel a weird sensation in my stomach and I don't know wether or not it's because I like him or I don't anymore. I wish I could turn back time and make things just go back the way they were but I don't in a way. I'm so confused! If anyone can help me, please do. I have no idea what to do and I don't want to make things worse. In advance thank you so much to everyone that does, if you do.

:) Lindie.

katatonik agony auntYes, he took advantage of you. And since he didn't respect your wishes with regards to remaining "friends only," I'm not sure he even deserves your friendship. In fact, I'm sure he doesn't. Friends do not take sexual advantage of other friends while they are too intoxicated to protest. I'm very sorry that this happened to you--please stay away from this guy in the future and try to drink with people you can trust. Good luck =]
