Language is a MUST, you guys need to communicate with each other- Either she speaks English or you speak Chinese, otherwise no point to start, because it won't go far!

tennisstar88 agony auntIf you have an iPhone it has a translator app on it but that's going to take some time..I would do Rosetta Stone if she is worth the $ spent, or see if your local college or university offers Chinese as a course. Honestly, I hear English is the hardest language to learn because of all our grammar rules. It also stands out on your resume if you can speak another language.

I think,it s quite a big problem because understanding is based on the love so that it so important for u to learn chinese language. it will make a great impression, just only say "wo ai ni"

means i love you. If you understand your love enough, you will try to sacrifice to spend your time to learn another language.Best luck for your love.Love Beyond Frontier…

A female reader, anonymous, writes (4 November 2010):

That's so sweet !. I'm the same. I love this Spanish guy that i have seen a few times when i have been on holiday to Spain. It hurts because we dont even live in the same country ( although i'm thinking of doing a foreign exchange in Spain so that i can learn the language and learn about the culture, e.t.c ) , and we cant speak each others languages very well. My brother has a villa there so i have seen this guy when i have stayed there. I dont get to go to Spain on holiday very often though. He also likes me, and we kissed last time i saw him ( but nothing else happened ). I havent seen him for quite a long time, but i really want to go back there !.

A female reader, mystiquek United States + , writes (4 November 2010):

mystiquek agony auntI'd say you've got a problem. Either you need to take a crash course in Chinese, or she'd better take a course in English. I dated a Japanese man for 9 years, and he spoke English well after having a private tutor, but there will still alot of misunderstandings because of the language barrier. Start studying! Get books, cd's, cassette tapes, take private lessons, anything to help you learn. Rosetta Stone learning is supposed to be good, but its rather expensive. Good luck!
