A female age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I am feeling seriously down and out. My ex broke up with me a couple of months ago. I finally thought I was doing better. We had a good conversation last week. Then, next time I talked to him, he went off on me like I was trying to get him back. How arrogant. Anyway, he truly hurt my feelings. And, then to make matters worse, I have to see him all the time. And, all of my friends have been spending time hanging out with him. It hurts. I just want to move. I feel so alone even though I have people all around me. I don't know how I will ever get over him with him always being around my friends.

kenny agony auntI know it must be hard having to see someone you have had an intimate relationship with, that you don't see eye to eye with.

Don't stop socialising with your friends and going out, act as normal, as if nothing ever happened. I know its hard but let him see that you are affected by his presence.

You say they are your friends, why is he hanging out with them and not his own mates?.

Good luck x

hey. i have been in a very similar situation here and the best thing i found is to remain friends with the person and therefore enjoy life again and keep all your friends, if things do start to go wrong, try having a chat with each other again, or with all of ur friends as well
