Was my dream just in my head or a premonition of things to come?

Question - (27 December 2008) 1 Answers - (Newest, 27 December 2008)
A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I had a dream two nights ago and since then, it's bothered me all Christmas Day; it still does.

I was in a dream where my crush, myself, and a couple of friends were all at this University I was not familiar with, like we had all transferred there by concidence or something. We were all involved in this club (poetry club I believe), and we were asked to pose for a group picture. As we were setting up for that photo, I noticed an unfamiliar guy putting his hands on the shoulders of my crush (he was tall, she is short) and she was grabbing his hands as well (she looked...nonchalant, not too happy) as the photo was about to be taken. Apparently, it was bad enough that I woke up from it and I've been letting it hinder in my mind for the entire Christmas day. I like this girl very much, and I'm a tad bit frightened that it will probably come to pass, and I don't want it to. She is aware that I like her, and she is extremely quiet. I gave her a Christmas card and an ornament decoration a week before, just to try and let her know that I'm thinking about her. So, really, I am trying to figure out if this was all just in my head, or if this will come to be.

A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (27 December 2008):

It was a dream. The boy who came onto her during the photo probably just represented the fact that she is going to be taken away from you by life / uni / someone else.

You can't take dreams too seriously.

If you like her then ask her out. If she says yes then happy days. If she says no then you can move on.

Good Luck!! xx
