Question - (22 September 2014) 4 Answers - (Newest, 23 September 2014)
A female United Kingdom age 51-59, anonymous writes:

Met a guy on a train, he asked to share my seat, there were plenty of others spare.

We talked he asked questions about my journey, job blah blah had a laugh, he asked if I wanted to go for a drink.

He lived too far away, so I said no. He got off a few minutes later after saying bye to friends he was with.

Do you think he did it for a bet or genuine ?

Be honest

oldbag agony auntUnless he was 16 and on a school trip, genuine. Attracted to you is my guess. You shot him down in flames, if you see him again then do as Intrigued3000 advises.

Honeypie agony auntI think if he was around YOUR age group he was probably genuine. I mean if it was a bet, how immature is that?

My guess is he has either seen you before or he just found you attractive and wanted to get to know you. Kinda brave of him to ask you out.

Intrigued3000 agony auntHe was genuine and he was interested in you. You should have said yes to the drink. You're more attractive than you think you are and you deserve an adventure. Next time you see him on the train, sit down next to him, say hi, chat him up and ask him out for a drink. Forget all the logistics, etc. Have fun!
