i need some advise! i like this boy who i've known for about 5 yrs now. about a year ago we started texting each other constantly and he told me he liked me a lot too. we went out a few times together but nothing really happened. recently he texted me and asked if I'd like to go out sometime and i said yes but that was over a month ago and he hasn't asked me again. he also hasn't been texting me as much as he used to. i'm confused why? was he playin with me, is my shyness to blame or is it just a typical teen boy thing?

A female reader, crystlay United Kingdom +, writes (30 January 2008):

my advice is to ask him if he still wants to hang out, this is the only way you're really gonna know. if he says no then at least u know his true feelings and stay friends. if yes, go out and have fun but dont be shy be yourself and if he doesnt like you after you've been yourself then thats his loss.

best of luck

there r 2 reasons this might be happening 1. he is too shy 2. he is cheating just saying #1 is much more likely

Sometimes guys get a little obsessed (girls do too) about someone for a while and then the fascination dies down. Happens a lot among teens. :) Don't worry. If you still like him, though, maybe you should approach him about that date.
