Would wal-mart or another place of business such as walgreens tow my car if I leave it parked overnight?  Probably safer in a Walmart parking lot. People really do shop there at 3:00 Am and will think nothing of your car being there.

reader, anonymous, writes (17 April 2009): If the walmart is a 24 hour store that stays open all night then maybe. i have left my car at a walmart and nothing happened to it. that store stays open all night. if it didn't stay open all night i wouldn't do that. someone could get stupid and break into it.
