writes:Should I just let him go on his own or join him for half of the trip?My boyfriend and I had talked about taking a trip together. The problem is I only get a week paid on vacation leave. He gets (2) weeks..since he didn't use his week last year, he's planning on just saving it for this year. Ok, so he called me two days ago and says, 'I just found out my points on the time share are going to expire tomorrow and I need to use them.' I was like 'ok.' And we agreed it would be great if we plan to go somewhere..thinking of September. Then, he surprised me with a location that I was like 'WHOA' Because the tickets alone are about $1,000 (round-trip) and for me to take a week..hmmm. I'm paying to fly and a few things out there.:) Also, he wants to travel to two places..that's the reason for the (2) weeks stay. But I have to think responsibly now..I only get paid (1) week. And for me to plan on spending without getting paid one week, not good. So, should I just we okay with him continuing his trip without me elsewhere? I wasn't okay with him telling me two days ago about this either. But we ended our conversation with.. We'll talk more in detail about this tomorrow evening (in person). And he won't book anything until we decide on what to do. So, is this true do points expire? Thanks in advance! Reply to this Question |

Yes i think they do and you have to use them within a special time limit because it is time share everybody is allocated a specific week or two and if you cant swap it with someone then you need to take the allocated time.
I would talk more in depth about the financial cost to you with him as it sounds you are going to be out quite a bit and will be overdrawn if you take the two week does he really have to do the two? why not just do the one with you and spend the other week at home saving him money too?
