Hello :P

My boyfriend is going on a trip for around a month and I was wondering what kind of things you guys do when you're significant other is away?

Some things I have in mind of course catching up with friends, exercise, reading, visiting his family, giving my cat lots of cuddles, hanging out with some of his friends, maybe make a mural for the living room etc.

Do you guys like to plan a welcome back dinner, spruce up the living space?

Just curious what kind of cool things you guys do when you're boyfriend/girlfriend is away, Thanks!

Honeypie agony auntBefore I got married and had kids, I would spend the time a BF was away with friends and family, catching up on things I REALLY should have done ages ago.

After getting married and having kids, I do whatever needs done when hubby is gone. He is for instance going camping with our youngest for 4 days - I'm going to spend SOME of that time to steak clean carpets unless the weather is exceptional, if it is, I'll be at the beach with the other two kids. I did have a MUCH busier social life when hubby was gone for longer periods of time (deployments), but that was more to keep ME busy.

When you say hanging out with some of HIS friends... ar they all male? And is your BF OK with that?

I'd suggest doing all of those things - except making any drastic changes to your living space.

Although, I'm wondering if you don't do these things on a regular basis when he is around.

A home cooked meal on his return should be nice, but bear in mind that he may be tired.
