I've been with my bf for a couple weeks and we've been talking for about a month and a half. But theres a big age diffrence and it doesn't bother me but my family is having a get together in a couple weeks and I invited him to come. He's 18 and I'm 22. I'm worried that they'll think this is wrong and I shouldnt be dating such a younger man. Should I tell them his real age or wait till they get to know him first?

dmartin89 agony auntThis is a tiny age gap, not really even worth commenting on.

My partner is 34, im 21 and my parents have been ok with it for the past 3 years!

So_Very_Confused agony auntand it's your life... it's not even their business his age...

it's a tiny gap to be honest...

try telling your dad your bf is 14 years younger than you...

(yes so when I was 22 he was 8/9 years old but now at 51 and 37/38 it's not that big a deal)

Drew21 agony auntEh, i wouldn't bring it up. It may seem like a huge difference in age now, but if this relationship goes even a year or 2, i think you'll find the age difference really isn't that great.
