What do I do if my nerving bully of a sister in law comes in and says something smart about me not going to my husband s doctors appointment.

Its at 11 30 my daughter attends a day support program 5 days a week her van has certain times can pick and drop her off and I need to be home she can make you feel bad to me maybe this is and would be my time to tell her off.

I got a lot in me I wont to let her know all replies ASAP

A female reader, aunt honesty Ireland +, writes (11 July 2016):

aunt honesty agony auntDon't tell her off or give in to her. If she is a bully it will only fuel her if she knows that you are getting annoyed by her comments. The worst thing you can do to a bully is ignore them, it annoys them the most. My advice is to bite your tongue and just smile at her, say something smart back to her as well.

Caring Aunty A agony auntThis would be the time to say something smart yourself; oh thanks sister-in-law for offering to stay here/come over and mind your niece… She’s picked up at 11:30 and dropped off at 3:30… I’ll see you when hubby and I get back. (BYE BYE nasty cow!)

I would not tell her off. You can politely put her in her place by saying, "I would love to be there for him but Chelsey NEEDS me to be here when she is dropped off."
