 Yes, leave the past in the past. Honestly, men don't really like ex talks...especially when first dating a girl. Usually, it makes them uncomfortable and makes them wonder if you are still hung up on your ex. If he asks, be honest but keep it brief and to the point: "yeah, we dated for three years but of course it didn't work, I care nothing for him anymore."
