 Interesting question, it points out that there is some missing understanding in your relationship. I fond it interesting that your two choices are nurse, and Maid. You see the nurse is an authority figure, and the maid is subservient. I'm guessing that in your relationship you do not have a well defined power structure, or that you share the power , or take turns.
Your choice of costume will set the tone for the night. So if you want to be in charge go with the nurse. If you want him to be in charge go with the maid. Just make sure you really play the character. Even if you both end up laughing on the floor.

reader, anonymous, writes (3 May 2012): Depends on him. Both are fine really. Just dressing up isn't enough though I think. Whichever you choose you might want to consider roleplaying it. My girlfriend and I have done the nurse one a few times and it was fun to be the "patient" getting "treatment".
For me the role play is the fun part of it. Get a feather duster if you're a French maid for example and "clean" him with it, in other words tickle and tease.
Of course only do what suits you best and what makes you feel sexy. My girlfriend tried acting out the french maid with accent and we spent so long laughing and joking about the whole thing that we just ended up cuddling and watching a movie. Nowadays we skip the skip that act and we'll take turns tying each other up and blindfolding each other and using the duster.
I think the best part is the role play and surprize. We do it by already being dressed and in character when the other arrives home or is on the sitting room watching something.
Look regardless of what you decide to wear, how you decide to act, the thought behind it will be greatly appreciated. Even if you both just end up feeling silly.
