OK, so i met this girl a few months back, and I fell for for her very fast. She knew how i felt about her, and for a month and a half or so things were extremely perfect! we never fought, and always enjoyed being around each other. About a month ago she says to me that this just wasn't what she was looking for right now, despite how perfect things were, as she would always say your perfect! for me. Anyways we went the next few weeks, were we would talk occasionally, but didn't see each other, until last Thurs, which was my B-Day. She called and texted me several times saying Happy B-day, and when she got off work she called asking if she could come over, so i agreed, and we spent the night together. (I'm thinking, why?? just because it's my B-Day you want to see, or hang out with me?? ) Now a week later I haven't heard from her. I tried calling her once in that time frame, but it went right to voice-mail and haven't herd anything from her since. A friend of mine works with her, and she doesn't know that i talk to this kid, so one day at work he asked her why i haven't been up there in a while, (i used to visit her at her work alot) and what was going on between me and her, and he told me that she sighed, and said that she was just recently out of a long relationship, and she fell for me/ in love with me to fast.. I did know about this past relationship, which from what she said was pretty bad, but she didn't stop herself from falling for me in the beginning, so why would she stop herself from falling for me now? so i guess I'm just wondering what you think, and by her saying that she fell to fast for me, would that cause her to not want to contact me? do you think she will come around when she feels ready for another relationship, and also why would a girl that knows you like her, go 3 weeks with out seeing each other, then it's your B-Day and she want's to see you? but afterward doesn't stay in contact. (by the way, on my birthday we were kissing, and she told me that she missed me and thought about me alot, and also said that she just need a little more time, when i started talking about me and her.) Thanks in advance for any advice.....

applebite8821 agony auntI have two guesses why this is happening:

1. She might be really falling for you but she is trying to control herself as she just ended a relationship and is scared to gamble and get hurt again.

2. She realized that she is still not over the previous relationship and feels guilty for leading you on.
