I'd talk to her and NOT get any adults involved could make her worse.

Just remind her that you are her best friend and that she is very dear to you and you are worried about her.

I agree with the two other responses.

You'll need more help than just yourself, probably. Maybe tell a trusted adult, your mom, someone! If you talk to her about it, she might feel like you're all ganging up on her and she will probably be angry or embarrassed or something.

Eating disorders need professional help, usually.

Good luck!

person12345 agony auntI think there's no way to talk to her about this without being awkward. You need to just take her aside and say, "You know I care a LOT about you. I know you've been having some family trouble, and I've noticed you've lost a lot of weight. I really want to be there for you and help you out. I'm really concerned for you." She'll probably get defensive and angry first, but if you really care you'll stick with it. If you suspect she has an eating disorder you are not equipped to handle it yourself. Have you thought about going to the school counselor and expressing your concern to him/her?
