A male United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I had a crush on a girl. Then my friends borrowed my laptop and found that I would take stolen pictures of her. Then they spread it round. Now the girl (we were good friends before she found out) won't talk to me. I feel like my world has collapsed and I made it so. I am constantly depressed-any tips on what to do?

tennisstar88 agony auntYou took pictures of her without her knowing? Creepy.

I agree write her an email explaining why you took those pictures, maybe pass them off as a project for your photography class. Apologize for your actions. She may or may not respond, but at least you said your piece. Do note that it's not polite to take unauthorized pictures of someone. (Unless you're a private investigator)

You went from nice guy friend to stalker in her mind. I think you may need to write this girl a letter to explain yourself. Ideally you would talk to her, but since she won't talk to you, you'll have to resort to alternative methods. Confess your feelings. Tell her why you took the pictures. Offer to show her the pictures so she knows it's not that creepy. Tell her why you did what you did.

She may not respond, or change how she feels, but at least you'll have had a chance to explain yourself.
