writes:I have been seeing this woman for almost a year and a half. Last May she went back home to New Brunswick to be with her sick mom. We were having the long distance relationship thing and it was ok. I recently discovered she was back here when she said she was still back home. She had been lying to me. I dont know why. She has gone on the defensive. I dont know what to do. She seems to want to ignore me. What should I do?

Consider yourself lucky that she resorted to childish tactics to avoid facing up to someone who deserved to be told the truth, no matter how painful...lucky because you've been freed from this immature heartless woman.

 I'm sorry to say but if she can't even bother to tell you that she's back in town then its apparent she doesn't think that much about you or your relationship. I realize how much this might hurt you, but you have to accept that she didn't want to see you. It sounds like she's ending the relationship by avoidance. I'd cut her out of your life and move on. If she can't respect you enough to tell you where she is and what she is doing, then you don't need to say anything to her at all. What would be the point? Move on.
