If I were you, I'd meet up with her just to see what I thought of her 'in real life', but keep it strictly 'hands off' at first.

reader, anonymous, writes (8 December 2008): well it depends if she is mature. ive always been out with people older but im really mature for my age. it shouldnt matter bout age if shes under then 16 then no dont but if she is a responsible mature young lady. then yeah whats the harm? jeez just cos someone is young doesnt mean we cant have relationships but im not 16 im 18. just be careful thats all but dont let her age put you off its not like your breaking the law shes old enough to make her decisions. good luck x

Im 16 and have been with someone who was 23 and at the moment im in a relationship with someone who is 21
She's 16 so legally you can date her and the government or her parents can't stop her so as it's legal then yes, why not start seeing her
You shouldn't worry about the age gap
