smeedle agony auntWe all need friends and so why not, it maybe hard if you really fancy her but if she dont fancy you back then surely a friendship is better than nothing.

Yes its hard to be mates but you cannot make someone fancy you and you could have fun together without the problems or girlfriend/boyfriend.

Hi, I think you should, definately! I'm sorry to hear you got refused :( But that doesn't mean you can't enjoy a friendship :) That's hwat I would want if someone turned me down, and I'm sure neither of you want things to end up awkward between you!
