A reader, anonymous, writes (14 May 2015):

If you are dyslexic, do you mean forty-two (42) years older than you, or twenty-four (24) years older than you?

If you are 18-21, that would make her 60 or over. If she is actually "42" years older."

What you need to consider is; that if she is over 60, you will not have very much in-common. She may not have the same sex-drive or interest in sex that you have. She may not take you that seriously. Prepare for others in her age-group to be judgmental and openly-opinionated. Publicly, she will be mistaken for your mother or grandmother. It will bother her sometimes, even hurt her feelings. So be patient, kind, and assuring.

If you mean she is "24" years older, she is still far more mature than you are; and you will reach a point where she may not be comfortable with the age-disparity.

Take it a day at a time, like any romance. Go only as far as she is comfortable with you.

Honeygirl agony aunt

Just be your usual self, and enjoy your date! Don't be in too much of a hurry to see it as a serious relationship, she might just want friendship. Just go with the flow!
