I am going to my boyfriends on Sunday and he'll probably want to have sex because it's been so long since we last did. I am really concerned as to whether or not I'll be protected?  You need to use condoms honey, sorry! you might not be covered by your contraceptive pill for up to 7 days after you take your last antibiotic! Sorry hun but to be on the safe side, use a condom! :)

 It depends on the particular antibiotic and pill to how long you should use another form of contraception for. You can find this out by reading the instructions in your pill packet. However, I haven't ever heard of a pill that is 100% effective only two days after finishing antibiotics. The other aunts are right to advise that you use condoms as well for a couple of weeks longer.

Anti-biotics can stop the pill from working. The chemist should have told you but sometimes they do forget. (They forgot with me once, I was a trifle miffed and went in and politely complained.)
It'll be much safer if you use condoms as well for a week or two to get all the antibiotics out of your system.
It is always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to pregnancy. If your boyfriend complains then he is not worth staying with. Full stop.

 What are the antibiotics for? as long as you have been taking the contaceptive pill and use condoms you will be protected but i am concerned you need to ask why are you not asking your doctor? If he/she has prescribed these antibiotics they would say one way or another if you should avoid sex? As i don't know what your taking them for i can't say what less of a protection you are under but as long as your taking your pill too and he uses condoms you will be safe but please in future always ask the doctor whenever your prescribed pills if they will interfere with your contraceptive pill i am assuming you are on the pill?
