A female reader, GreenBlue United States +, writes (8 July 2010):

Losing your virginity...

-his penis enters your vagina

-oral sex; yes, it is followed by the word S-E-X.

You're still a virgin, darling. 3

A female reader, xanthic United States +, writes (7 July 2010):

xanthic agony auntAs long as that's the only thing he did, you're still a virgin.

Honestly, if you don't know something as simple as this, you shouldn't be doing anything sexual until you learn the basics. Ignorance like this is the reason we have so many 'Am I pregnant?' questions on the site.

A female reader, Tisha-1 United States +, writes (7 July 2010):

Tisha-1 agony auntThe pop quiz was meant to be interactive, thank you for pointing out the correct answer, but I had hoped the OP would have had a chance to read it and respond. She has a lot of learning to do and encouraging active thought and learning, reasoning and logic seemed like a good idea.

I also wanted to get a sense of the level of her knowledge and understanding about preventing pregnancy. As marriedlady pointed out, fooling around leads to situations where bad choices are made.

A female reader, SirenaBlusera Mexico +, writes (7 July 2010):

SirenaBlusera agony auntIf all he did was finger you, and it didn't involve a penis in a vagina, then you are still a virgin.

But, you're playing with fire. You shouldn't be doing anything sexual at your age!

Imagine your love live as a movie... if it's not appropriate for a PG-rated movie, then you have no business doing it.

No one at your age should be engaging in sexual activity; you're a kid! Wait until you've learnt about sex and you're older. Before you do anything, think about the possible consequences.

A female reader, straight to the truth United Kingdom +, writes (6 July 2010):

All of these answer are excellent however the pop quiz isn't very helpful unless someone points out that all of the statements are not true and in every occassion you could get pregnant.

Lastly there is a reason why the law says you should be 16 and thats because you ar enot old enough to fully understand it or the consequences.

stop with the sexual activity until you are old enough, you dont need to rush into this.

A female reader, Honeypie United States + , writes (6 July 2010):

Honeypie agony auntRe-read CaringGuy's reply til you FULLY understand it.

And start to think. Just like it's SMART to think before you speak, it's also VERY smart to think before you act.

You aren't ready for sex, so as tempting as it may be... EDUCATE yourself and wait til you ARE ready.

A reader, anonymous, writes (6 July 2010):

asking this question just shows you are too young to be doing anything sexual! As everyone has said, grow up a bit before you start playing around with sex. Adults can get hurt once they are in a sexual relationship, you dont have the emotional knowledge to go through the possible consequences. Not only pregnancy or std's but also the heartbreak when your bf leaves you, the possible names you'll get because of what you did etc etc. You are still a virgin at the moment, keep it that way

Tisha-1 agony auntPop quiz:

Pick out the true statements below:

You can't get pregnant if

•It's your first time;

•If you're both virgins;

•When the girl is having her period;

•If the guy pulls out before he ejaculates or if he doesn't go all the way in;

•If you have sex in a pool or hot tub;

•If the girl douches after sex;

•If both partners don't orgasm at the same time;

•If the girl jumps up and down after sex (to get all the sperm out);

•If the girl pushes really hard on her belly button after sex;

•If the girl takes a shower or bath right away;

•If the girl is on top during sex;

•If the guy drinks a two-liter Mountain Dew before sex (to kill the sperm); or

•If the girl makes herself sneeze for fifteen minutes after sex.

A reader, anonymous, writes (6 July 2010):

yes you are still a virgin. Now stop playing adult games until you are old enough/responsible enough to deal with a possible pregnacy, or sexually transmitted diseases. When you play around you will eventually cross whatever boundary you set. So please enjoy life, but dont take chances. Hugs, mal

A male reader, TimmD United States +, writes (6 July 2010):

TimmD agony auntYou are scared that you are no longer a virgin now, after the fact.... why weren't you scared DURING? If your boyfriend pressured you, then you should not let him do that. If you are afraid of him, then you need to let somebody know... a parent, a friend, a police officer, something.

Either way, as CaringGuy stated, sexual intercourse is a VERY serious and mature matter. You cannot go into any kind of sexual activity blindly. Thought and planning must be put into it first and only then should you proceed.

A male reader, CaringGuy United Kingdom +, writes (6 July 2010):

To lose your virginity, you need to have sexual intercourse. That means a penis into a vagina, putting it bluntly. If you're not too sure on sex stuff, then maybe you're not ready to take all this forward yet. Do some research into sex before you engage in it. You need to understand what you're getting into .
